PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
Maggie is dedicated to her clients and believes in using her legal expertise to make a positive impact in their lives. She began her journey at the University of Southern California (USC), where she immersed herself in law, history, culture, and psychology. During her time at USC, Maggie volunteered at Neighborhood Legal Services in Los Angeles, a role that allowed her to connect with clients on a personal level.
After earning her undergraduate degree, Maggie pursued her law degree at The William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating cum laude. Her commitment to her studies earned her several accolades, including recognition for her exceptional performance in Civil Procedure and Evidence Skills. At law school, she also contributed as a staff member for the Nevada Law Journal, served as Treasurer of the Health Law Society, and represented her peers on the Honor Code Committee, showcasing her leadership and dedication to fairness.
Maggie's drive to help others led her to gain valuable experience through two externships and an internship. At her first internship with Justice Abbi Silver at the Nevada Supreme Court, she gained insights into the judicial process. Her second externship at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, specifically in the Consumer Protection Unit, was particularly impactful, as she worked diligently on guardianship and eviction issues, tirelessly advocating for the rights of the most vulnerable members of our community. She also collaborated with a prominent civil litigation firm during this externship, gaining further experience.
In 2022, Maggie began working on complex litigation and mass tort cases with Mr. Adams and Mr. Ham. Her skills were put to the test when she became a crucial member of the trial team that achieved a remarkable verdict exceeding $3 billion in a complex litigation case involving a defective water product. Ginger Land-Van Buren vs. Affinitylifestyles.com, Inc., Case No. A-21-831725-B.
Maggie's commitment to justice extends beyond her cases; she is an active member of the Nevada Justice Association and the Clark County Bar Association. In 2023, she was honored as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers, a testament to her dedication and hard work.
Outside of her legal work, Maggie cherishes the time spent at Golden Knights’ games, indulges in reading, and enjoys listening to true crime podcasts. She also loves traveling and making memories with her family and friends, reflecting her belief in the importance of community and connection.
